Outline a concept, strategy, plan and execution model for a new Summer 2018 promotional brand marketing campaign created by you for the London Underground

​

Goals:

  • Remind people of the rich heritage of the London Underground brand and it's place within London's history and future.

  • Generate excitement around the London Underground brand and the summer season in the city.

  • Build internal and external brand champions.

  • Promote the brand and its benefits amid growing transportation competition throughout London.

  • Reinforce the reputation of the City of London as a world-class destination for travelers and citizens alike who require safe, reliable public transportation to move around the city.

Inspiration

In the spring of 2018 there was immense excitement leading up to the Royal wedding of Prince Harry to the celebrity Meagan Markle. Royal fever was heightened.  

  • I wanted to combine the hype for the event which had been bound to increase tourism with the rich heritage of the London Underground in a fun and eye catching manner. 

  • Utilizing areas of interestlike the engagement ring and the always amusing head coverings provided great connections.  

  • Turning a train gold with ornate head lamps brought the fairy tale to mind as the commoner married the prince and was whisked away in a royal coach.
